In case you did not know it, February 27, 2007, is "Action Mesothelioma Day" in the United States and abroad. It even now has gained the support of Amicus, which is the UK's largest and most powerful private sector union. A planned meeting is scheduled to occur on Albert Square at 12:30pm in Manchester. It is a day designed to promote awareness to the debilitating cancer that effects thousands of patients every year. In honor of those lost and for those still fighting the deadly illness, hundreds of balloons will be released to commemorate the event. It is the hope of all through promotion of events like this that one day a cure will be found for all those who suffer from mesothelioma.
